Can anyone confirm - now that we actually have some Rangers out now - what parts are aluminum? Hood, fenders, tailgate, other?

Magnet stuck to everything except the hood, front bumper, and gas cap cover. It’s worth noting that the chief engineer in one of the press videos says the tailgate is steel but is lightened by use of a torsion bar.

Just went out and checked my truck. A magnet stuck to everything but the hood. That's on my XLT. not sure about the Raptors.

It does. But there is a button in the console to turn it off.

On the 5G Rangers you could defeat the ASS by plugging in a nite-light into the 120 V outlet on the back of the console.

For those of you that are interested I checked my 2024 Ranger Raptor yesterday and all panels are steel except the hood. I am glad that I had rust protection and undercoating done along with paint and interior protection hopefully will keep it protected for many years to come. If you live in a road salt winter state how long before panels start to rust something to think about.

Make sure it is the type that is always on (i.e. not activated by low light). This is what I use:
