Every time I use the adaptive cruise control the lane centering engages. I have lane centering turned off and in the cruise control setting it is toggled off. Is this a bug in the software?

Its possible. Theres definitely some bugs where things turn on or off on their own. My adaptive lighting keeps toggling itself in the system.

It automatically turns on lane centering with adaptive cruise. Change it to normal cruise in the main menu and lane centering won't turn on. Otherwise, just turn lane centering off with the steering wheel button if you don't want to use it with adaptive cruise.

According to the manual it should turn off on adaptive also.

Enabling and Disabling Lane Centering
  1. From the settings menu, press Driver Assistance. See Center Display.
  1. Press Cruise Control.
  1. Press Adaptive Cruise Control.
  1. Switch Lane Centering on or off.

I only looked at the menu when I initially set up the truck. I don't recall LC off as a setting under ACC, just its standalone setting which is for normal driving and regular cruise control. I might be wrong though.

There is lane center and lane keeping. Two different settings. You can’t turn off lane keeping in the menu, but you can set it to alert only (vibrates the wheel) and lower the sensitivity (vibrates as softly as possible).

So if you turn off lane centering and just use adaptive cruise control do you still have to keep squeezing the steering wheel?

It took me a while to figure out the option to turn Lane Keeping to alert only (light vibrate) and that made all the difference for me. I absolutely love the adaptive cruise control, but I was ready to say goodbye to it forever if it meant I was going to have to constantly fights the steering wheel. So much better now. :)

that is the designed way it works, I also have a 25 Mini Cooper and it does the exact same thing when turning on the adaptive cruise
