My theory is, the Bronco gets more production time because the higher sales volume. I don't know if both Bronco and the Ranger are produced on the same production line or separate lines at MAP.

Also, if Ford were to have short lead times then their forecasting would be short as well. If you're having to be shortsighted in your forecasting, business isn't good.

I'm happy to be educated by anyone more knowledgeable.

I get the concept, but having people wait 6+ months for a Ranger when the volume is barely 4000 units a year isn't really executing that concept.

With that list of constraints all it leaves is what? Maybe 2WD XL’s? Just ridiculous! 🤨

My 2025 4X4 XLT with Chrome Appearance Package was scheduled to be built during the week of 3/17 on January 23rd. Exhausted availability from my understanding means that for those build weeks (3/10-3/24) they have scheduled all the 4x4's etc... that they can fit into those weeks production/material limit (whatever that is)

That's my understanding from watching Long Mcarthur fords YouTube channel with weekly scheduling updates for the whole ford lineup.

At the beginning of the scheduling videos, he describes terminology that helped me understand this more.

The corresponding video on his channel to this scheduling update:

4000 units per year? Where did that number come from? Are you talking about year-to-date numbers taken in early January?!

Looking at the sales & production spreadsheets occasionally posted by the forum admin, in January 2025 there were 4,502 rangers sold and 1015 rangers built. The last spreadsheet I found before this one was from August, 2024. In of August, 2024 there were 5,660 rangers sold and 7,453 produced. As of August 2024 the year-to-date production of the 2024 ranger was 44,970 units.
