Hi folks, just joined the forum. My father purchased a 2025 Ford Ranger and is configuring it to flat tow.
He used to do this with his Toyota Tundra, where he was able to tap into the Tundras break pedal sensor switch(?) And feed that back into an led in RV, for break on detection.
He'd like to do this with the Ranger but is struggling to find this switch. He's found YT videos for the 2024 and location of switch but nothing for 2025.
Anyone have any suggestions?
TIA...
Doesn't his supplemental braking system provide him with this info?

Actually it doesn't, he's wanting to re-use the tow package from Tundra, with new baseplates for Ranger. Supplemental braking system is older than Ranger, so 2025 not included in instructions.
In fact, is there a supplemental braking system in the market for a 2025?

His supplemental braking system should have a display unit for the cab of the RV which monitors the braking system while underway. I have a Blue Ox Patriot. The display looks like this:

Ford Ranger 2025 Ranger 6G - 4-Wheel Flat Towing behind RVs - YES! 1743977005799-ah

When brakes are applied at the toad by the Patriot system, it will display this on this screen. Do you know what system he is using?

Thanks, sorry I'm not very clear.
Yes, he has that as part of his system.
What he can't figure out is where to attach it on the Ranger.
On his Tundra and on videos for previous years Rangers, that brake signal line is near the firewall and brake pedal.
The wiring on the 2025 Ranger is different and he can't locate the brake system wiring.

OK, now I understand. For that stuff, I always let the pros handle the install. Too many things that I can muck up! This might be a tough one simply because you're not going to find too many people who have the 25 and are flat-towing it after the cluster that the 24 MY was. Good luck to you. Hopefully, someone has the answer here!

Thank you. Appreciate your help.
I'm exploring to see if he can just create a pigtail and pull the signal from the rear bumper of Ranger, but will need to check if it's active when being towed.
