Yes they do. That’s interesting that yours has no cleats. I know my dad has an STX like yours without the carpet and he put the plastic oem mats in his.
It seems that Ford has made it really difficult to switch to carpeted mats. I never imagined that this would be such a problem. I shouda done some research beforehand.

I dont think no cleats is new in the rubber floors. My 04 ranger has the rubber floor and no cleat to hook a mat too, either. I think they feel no mats are required with that floor type

I'm in Cameron, central Texas.

Does the OEM set from your STX attach via the floor cleats? My probem here is that my STX with vinyl floor has no cleats, and no way to secure the mats. This is just another stupid Ford thing; no vanity mirrors, no driver's hand hold, no carpet attachment. Sheesh, how cheap can Ford get?!?
It is the STX, ie the stripper-model.

Wonder why they all don't? Was carpet just an option that my truck lacked? It seems like if one STX came with carpet, then all STX trucks would be able to attach it.

Its an option that adds price. Some dealers ordered 4x4 instead of carpet, or different things for their stx versions.

You can add the tie downs but then you will be making holes in the vinyl. My STX I ordered without carpet. I'm waiting on info on a couple mat options. I think I have the front figured out with no spikey nubs and smooth bottom. The back on my super crew might be more difficult.

I took on of those cleats out of the truck at work, it basically just straps through 2 oblong holes in the vinyl. If you could get some cleats, you should be able to install them. You can also order XLT sun visors if you want the vanity mirrors. Not cheap though.

The trick is to run a hot wire or screwdriver through the bottom hole into the vinyl floor and melt a hole in it then work the bolt through the small hole so it kinda seals around the bolt and then screw it down. Id did it in my old jeep carpet to allow water to drain faster through the drain plugs. I rode with the top off and random rains would leave me with a lake in my floor boards lol.
