Not related but the painted fender flares on the new Bronco raptor look great, but not all that practical. They will get peppered with rock chips off-road.

That’s bold of you to assume that anyone that buys a $92,000 Bronco will ever leave the pavement.

Some people could say that same thing for a $50,000-$60,000 Bronco or Jeep.
I have a JL, and $60k is just new unmodified price, and when you kit one out, it gets much more expensive. I was going to Hellcat swap my 22 JL Rubicon, and doing that would make it much more expensive than a Braptor. $25k for axles, $15k for the engine, $10k in suspension, $6k in wheels and tires, and another $28k in the hellcat swap kit from Dakota Customs. All adds up to at least $140k, and people actually use them, watch Heavy D pull a super duty off a mountain with one, super cool. Even just Hemi swapping one costs at least $50k over the price of the jeep, so still more than a Braptor.

Still for the price of a depreciating Braptor, I would rather do the Rs4R frame for my 72 Bronco, and then have a supercharged coyote powered real Bronco. The chassis is the price of a new Braptor, and early broncos are expensive, but when you are finished you can use the truck for a year or two, and then sell it for $250k+ with the same $140k investment. Some labor involved, but it's really not that hard to do with a 10mm.

If I had the budget, this is the route I’d go. It would be my dream truck. The last vehicle I’d ever chase.

@DirtyRanger does the raptor look significantly wider/bigger in person than the Lariat?

The additional width on the Ranger is not as pronounced as the F-150 or Bronco so I wouldn't say it looks significantly wider or bigger. It's quite understated actually. I've seen both the Raptor and standard Ranger in person.

Thanks, I was hoping it would be more noticeably different in person like the bronco or f-150….

It's possible that you could perceive it differently when you get a chance to see one in person. I drive an F-150 Raptor and have gotten used to the extra wide fenders/bedsides, so naturally these are going to be less striking in my eyes.

I thought the Raptor actually looked kinda short because of the proportions. Obviously it’s taller and wider but because it’s squared out more, it gives a sort of optical illusion.
