The first thing I did with my truck once I got was to drive it straight from the dealership to Mar Quality in Newark, CA. Had them do the whole truck in matte PPF and and ceramic coat after. I told them hold off on the tail gate until I am ready. I'm trying to see if I can get the same applique the 2nd gen F-150 Raptors have on their tailgates. I also had them tint the front headlights.

I wonder if the Azure Grey on the other trim of Rangers will be the same like on my Raptor. I notice the Raptor actually comes with a lot of metallic... But no metallic on other ford trucks.

Funny you ask that, I was going to get Gray in the Ranger, my salesman asked me how had I been in the gray F150 i’m in now, I said about 13 yrs. He said, let’s take a walk to the lot. There was a F150 Tremor in Azure Gray, I said, okay! That is a Tri Coat paint, which means there’s three steps to
Painting this color. My assumption is that they all should have the metallic paint job in that color.

I had the XPEL PPF installed on the hood and front end of my 2024 Cactus Grey RR, and couldn’t be happier with the result. I had some rock chips on the hood of my 2019 Lariat FX4 Sport, and really wanted to avoid that on the new RR.

Same here, I’m trying to avoid scratches and rock chips as much as possible but still want to drive my truck everywhere.
I took it off-roading with some rock crawling in the woods and it held up great. Not a single scratch on the paint after this trip.
