2024 Ford Ranger Raptor (Cactus Gray)
My dealer just switched my stock Raptor order to retail, apparently per Ford's most recent bulletin. As such, I received an order email directly from Ford and am now price protected. Can anyone confirm this bulletin? I haven't seen it myself, but the dealership GM assured me Ford gave clear instructions.

Also @fordvideoguy , I wonder if the increase of Rangers in the order bank is due to Raptors being converted to retail or was that still excluding Raptor orders still?

Such a good question! I HOPE the non-Raptor orders such as mine stay low for everyone's sake! I just have a hard time believing they will.

Good question, could be just more orders in general but it could be Raptors. The report doesn't say excluding Raptor.

Have not heard. Also started with retail order, email confirming then dealer changing to stock. Sent note to my dealer to see what they say. And you can't check status of an order without VIN which I don't remember when I retail ordered my 2019.

Yeah my dealer told me they switched it too, but I got no email. Don't know and kinda don't care at this point. I am preparing myself to take delivery next year. If sooner, great.

Mine was originally but in as retail, then switched to stock and then switched back to retail. My dealer got an email and forward it to me when it was put in as retail originally, but I never got one from Ford, but I did confirm it with them on chat. When they switched it back to retail, I still didn't get one. Not sure if that's because they sent one originally or if my email is wrong.

My order manager was out of the office today, but I got his e-mail and sent a message off to him. I'll update (hopefully tomorrow) with his response;

Good Afternoon Dustin,

I stopped in this afternoon, but did not realize you were off work. The nice lady who is a sales manager was able to square me away on my first order of business and I changed my color selection from Shelter Green to Oxford White.

Now for the other order of business;

When you return to work and have a free moment can you check any dealer bulletins regarding Ford advising to now change stock Ranger Raptor orders to retail? There are numerous confirmed reports from other dealer customers around the country they are being notified by their dealer of this. No one is quite sure why this is happening, but it could be tied to the fact as of a few days ago there are only 2,000 retail orders entered for all non-Raptor trim levels in the entire country and maybe they are trying to fluff that number by moving the 3,000 allocation stock mandated Raptor orders to the retail numbers.


If accurate and it must be done can I request Priority Code 3? From my understanding Ford recently changed this from 10 through 19 without higher approval to 3 through 19.

Lastly I have just a general inquiry. I would just like to know if I convert my current 2019 XLT 2WD Sport Package Ranger (17,800 miles) back to stock form can you give me the rough estimate on trade in whatever the equivalent is on "lightly used, good condition" ? I understand without inspection its just a ball park, that is all I am after. I am currently weighing options on how I want to off-load my current truck and its $10,000+ worth of add-ons. I understand your dealership expressed interest in buying as-is, but I think realistically my two best options are trading in a stock truck to you guys and selling the add-ons individually and transferring some to the Raptor, or finding a private buyer who wants it as-is.

Glad I found this post. Mine was placed in 6/1/23 as stock order and yesterday I received email from ford confirming my now retail order. check with my contact and he said it was changed from stock to retail by ford instruction. hopefully it doesn't affect our spot in line.

Yes, definitely please let us know the response. I am very curious if they added the Raptor orders in with the other trims. And, if so, why?

I also have been wondering about the priority 3 and what would be a reason (if any) not to do it?
