Adding some directions for the people like me, who end up in this forum looking for other DIY ideas.

Removal:
Removing the rear badge is really easy. There are clips, but it's mostly held on with double sided foam tape. Avoid the temptation to use a flathead screwdriver. Metal will scratch the plastic frame. I used 2 plastic bike tire tools. Start on the side and lift the badge just enough to get the tool under. Keep it there, and use the other tool to SLOWLY go around wait for the tape to release. This is the frame without the badge:

Mounting:
In hindsight, I could have gotten screw on magnets and skipped the frame, but I wanted to use what I had on hand and make this easily interchangeable for future badge ideas. I used my laser cutter to cut out this frame that would go behind the badge. 3mm hardboard from Home Depot perfectly fits in the gap behind the badge. I glued 4 magnets into the frame that will attach to the screws on the truck. The screws are slightly recessed, so I added extra washers behind each one so the magnets would get a better hold. The frame makes it easy to screw on a new badge in the future. I sprayed it with a can of bed liner so it'll survive the elements and hopefully help keep the magnets in place.

New Badge:
I used my laser cutter to engrave 1/4" cedar. This is part of Ford's original logo from 1903. Sand, stain, clearcoat, done. Now looking for new badge ideas.

A couple trucks ago, I had one that looked just like the Ford logo, but it was a different four-letter 'F' word. Forgot to take it off before trading it in. Some dude is probably driving around the Pacific Northwest offending people without even knowing it. Poor guy.
