Newbie from Alberta Canada ordered a 2025 XL.

Thanks for adding me to the forums. I just placed and order in November for a 2025 Ranger XL in Desert Sand. I wanted a plain Jane truck as we had a 2021 bronco sport and hated all the bells and whistles clicking on and off and doing weird things. The only things I ordered with it was a block heater and tow package and the Desert Sand paint. I love the fact I get the rubber flooring but it looks like I might have an issue getting mats for it. I'm also concerned about adding the trailer brake control either a factory one or aftermarket that looks factory. If anyone has a direct forum link to those issues or could quickly answer them, I'd appreciate your help. See you in the forum's.

Thank you! I hope it comes with all the wiring for the trailer brake controls. Still not sure why it doesn't come with it if you order tow package. The maverick xl does. Maybe you can look into that.

There are 2 tow packages. The standard package has the 7 pin and hitch receiver.
The advanced tow has the brake controller and Pro Trailer backup Assist.
The advanced tow is not available for XL models.

Ford for some asinine reason did include TBC on 2019-2023 Rangers either, it was never an option. And if you had the first year XL, there wasn't even wiring to the rear to put a 7 pin. It took until 2021 when Ford came up with a solution to add a TBC.
2024 models have an option to get a TBC from factory, but I have yet to see anyone add the Ford TBC after purchase, or that one is even available.

We can only hope you can install a factory one in the dash and then get it turned "on". I did that on my 2014 F150 stx sport package.

Great color choice. I'm considering this color on an xlt or lariat with the black appearance package.
