Alberta checking in! (Originally from the U.S.)
Hi all, I just picked up my 2024 Ford Ranger Lariat in Azure Grey from the dealership and I'm loving it so far. This is my first truck, but my father had a '97 Ranger back when I was a kid.
I've named my truck Knobby after my grandfather whose parting gift from this life was money specifically to get any fully-loaded vehicle I wanted. It's a perfect name being it's a fully-loaded vehicle (his favorite), it's brand new (also his favorite), and it has the shorter 5' bed so it's a bit...knobby. He passed back in April and this is my ode to him. He had a truck when I was a kid that I loved riding on the front bench with him and my grandmother on weekends. I have a tendency to get a new car every few years, also like him, but this one I'm going to try and keep around awhile.
Some things I want to do with the truck:
- Spray-in bedliner
- Soft rolling tonneau
- Black matte Ranger lettering on the back
- Matte black wheels
- Additional brake lighting
- Maybe a front light bar for when I'm driving on the dirt roads at night
- Interior LED mood lighting in the cup holders, wells and under the seats (it will probably mostly be blue or ice blue matching ambient)
Any other ideas for the exterior matte black/azure grey color scheme?
I'm also super into developing a community symbol for either Ranger or Ford truck owners, similar to the Jeep ducks...but much more aligned with the types of folks who own Ford trucks. I have some ideas I'm working on that are really cool, so I might get some samples and pitch y'all at some point. I think one in particular is killer.
Thanks for having me!
