Hello,
Iva done about 7k on my ranger raptor now and have not experienced any real issues until we got some light rain and snow these past weeks and the truck felt incredibly out of control. I will say I drive it pretty hard and like to have some fun when I drive plus have switched out for a +25 offset wheel even though that should not make any difference at all. With those things in mind I was curious if anyone noticed the same with the ko3s. It was mainly an issue where the back would literally just loose itself in a not so sharp curve even (going slightly quick but nothing crazy) and in sharp quick curves the front literally glides forward like incredible understeer before making any attempt to go the direction of the wheel. Anyone have similar issue and what tire do you recommend?
Thank you

When the KO3’s first came out I heard about this in multiple reviews. That was the main complaint.

What mode were you running in?

I have the KO2s on mine (which are supposed to be even worse) and if it’s damp or wet I put it into 4A and/or slippery mode and it actually handles fine. A little understeer if I push it on a corner, but nothing unusual given the weight and size

Read from many others slippery or 4A will address this.

I live outside of Phoenix, AZ and we haven't had rain since September and obviously no snow. My experience on dry pavement is similar to yours--seems to slip when stopping suddenly or turning a corner a little too fast. I can only imagine if conditions were wet. My next tires will definitely not be KO3s. In fact, I am considering switching to more road-friendly tires since it is my daily driver.

Yes I will try out 4a and see if I think that fixes things as I have not had to many worries in dry really but it not I have heard falken wildpeak are great

FYI, I have some take-offs with General Grabbers that I swap every few months on the Bronco and those handle cornering and stopping just fine.

I live in the Seattle area and have had no traction issues with the K03s so far this Winter and we have had plenty of rain. I had K02s on my previous truck (Tacoma) and they were terrible in rain. K03s are a huge improvement.

I just put KO3 on my f150 and love them. Wet, icy and snow here right now.
The ridge grapplers i had on it sucked bad on wet roads

What tire pressure? If you are running 39 psi, try 36 front and rear, and holy cow… Don’t drive around in 2wd in any kind of slick conditions! For cold temps and winter driving you need proper snow tires.

Yeah not really much the tyres can do there - no weight over the rear and 400hp going straight to the rear wheels = back ends going to be lit

4A makes a world of difference and is exactly what it’s there for. Slippery mode will make it so it’s extra safe and will stop the track from sliding around completely

You have the modes and hardware, may as well use it

Car and Driver has this truck at 0.69g on the skid pad and you're losing ~30% of your grip in the wet. That's not far from ice skating.

If you're randomly losing the truck on public roads, you're driving it way too hard for anyone's good. The KO3 seems to be mid to bottom performance in the wet compared to other all terrains, but they're still A/Ts and will be significantly lower grip than an all season.

I don't have any issues with my ko3's when its wet unless I want it to not have traction. Living in FL I don't get to drive in snow.
