I hope I'm saying this correctly.
I bought some '21 Ranger Tremor take off wheels & tires for my '25 that's on order, along with a TPMS programing tool.
Does anybody know if the '21 5G TPMS will work on a '25 6G or do I need to have a tire shop swap out the TPMS on the wheels before I mount them?
Thanks!

Not knowing what TPMS brand tool you have it might have the option to read the MHz (either 315 or 433 ) and also tell you if the battery's are ok in the sensor.
Check with your tool and scan the sensor to be sure.
And make sure the tool you have is compatible with reading the Ford OEM
sensor.
I used Schrader EZ sensor in my new wheel/tire setup and went through 3 tool buy/returns to finally get this tool that was able to program them
The tire shop i went to for the install didn't have a the correct tool only one that programs the sensor they sell, i went there with my own purchased and learned a lesson about these sensors it was a pita to finally score the right tool and driving for a month playing games without the tpms working and the stupid light on the dash blinking and thinking i may have to have the tires dismounted and purchase different sensors that the shop could program to the truck and just throwing money away.
Good Luck.

@Muffin1 Thanks for the reply, I have a cheapo Ford knockoff from Amazon, I'm not opposed to buying a better one if need be, my question is will the new 6G Rangers recognize the older 5G TPMS because they're a different frequency. If they won't, I want to take my wheels and tires to a shop to have them swapped out before my new truck arrives.

Yes i bought that one too, unfortunately it didn't work to program i needed one that specifically mention that it programs Schrader EZ Sensor 33500 ( your not looking to program just read the Mhz)
in hindsight i shoulda just paid more for the OE Ford sensors and eliminated all the tool purchase return stuff.
Now as far as will the sensors in those wheels your buying be recognized by your truck, the sensors i used above broadcast both 315 & 433 MHz so i just went out to my truck and it is sending out the 315 as shown in this pic (silver wheels).

The OE wheels i removed are pictured first they are the carbonized gray and they too show they are on 315 Mhz also, so my '24 is receiving 315Mhz
Now your getting a '25... Did they change anything in the TPMS system IDK. But my truck is a early production 4/24 build if that matters IDK

1. You could purchase the tool and see what your current sensors are on the purchased set then drive to your local Ford dealer walk the lot and check a new '25 Ranger if its the same Mhz as your purchased tires you gold and that way your know.

2 Just wait till the truck comes in and go to the tire shop and find out then about both sets.
The info in my first post about 433 Mhz must be incorrect (Google AI search result) because i just verified otherwise.

Perfect! That's what I was hoping. Internet search leads me to believe the '21 Ranger Tremor wheels are 315 MHz and everything I've ready indicates the '24 & later will be 433, but the truck should recognize them anyway (backwards compatible?). Fingers crossed until my truck arrives!

The tool you're using looks damn nice, but a bit pricy for something I'm only going to use once. If I can't get mine to program them, then I guess I'm headed to a local tire shop.

I know that the searches show '24 and up say 433 but as you can see my OE '24 wheels are signaling 315 so as you say you should be good there.
Also are the wheel/tires your buying already mounted?

If so you shouldn't have to do any programing to activate or wake them up, they were already communicating with the vehicle they came off and your truck should pick up the signal they send out once you get rolling. If not try that tool you have after you put it learn mode (look up videos on how to.)
The only reason i needed to activate my sensors because they were 'virgin new' and not previously in use.
Yea the tool is great i do a # of tire swaps on all my vehicles plus it's able to check battery strength in key fobs to see if there going dead.
Good Luck & update how it turns out.

@Muffin1 Yes, the wheels and tires are mounted, the guy I bought them from upgraded his Tremor (he belongs to ranger5g.com) was pretty certain I could just bolt them up to my new Ranger once I get it.
I just figured I'd get everything as ready as possible for my truck that's on order so I can upgrade the things that matter the most to me as soon as I get it home from the dealership. Already ceramic coated both the fronts and backs, they look nice!
