What functions are supported in the Ranger with FordConnect? Costs?

I'm reading on sites and getting other information from YouTube that FordConnect is an annual (possibly a lifetime) purchase option. Still, there is not a lot of definition of what it covers functionally in the Ranger platform.

Can anyone please share the service's annual (or lifetime) costs?

And what functions are on the vehicle that uses that service?

I have been curious about this also and have also watched some videos on YouTube. It's free for 3 months once we get our trucks so I'm going to see what it actually includes before pulling the trigger on purchasing. Seems like the service keeps changing what it includes. Wait and see I guess???

So for the Raptor we dont get much of the features. For us the only thing it gives you of significance is built in nav.

Not looked into it yet but only reason I like built in nav is when I’m off the grid with no cell signal.
does this one need a signal to work?

I believe the free duration may be dependent on the vehicle you purchase.
My 2024 Lariat included 3 years free of Alexa Built-In and Built-in Navigation.
Premium Connectivity was not included
The Navigation uses GPS primarily. Some features like live traffic updates and detailed points of interest, it also leverages a cellular data connection through FordPass Connect

With the Raptor we have 4 connected services you can elect to pay by subscription;

Plus an actual paid in car phone/wi-FI connection from AT&T. I don’t know about other carriers. This provides an actual phone number for the vehicle and direct carrier si-fi connection.
