Water Leaking Through Stake Pockets

Has anyone noticed water leaking into the bed through the stake pockets?

I have a Softopper installed on my Ranger and I am getting water that runs off the topper and seeps into the covers on the stake pockets and ultimately ends up in the bed.

It's very frustrating and it seems as though I am going to have to uninstall the Softopper and seal up the pockets. I wish there was a solid plastic bed rail cap as an option?!?

There are holes under it that likely could take some trim panel push pins to seal them, but electrical tape is going to be my temp fix when I install my tonneau.

I would use an RTV silicone sealant around the trim pieces if you want to keep water out.

I'm not surprised. There are a lot of gaps and holes you'll have to seal up if you want to get it somewhat waterproof. There are a few holes on the bed wall closest to the cab. The tailgate has about 1/4 gap all the way through.

I've saw this guy put a seal under the plastic on the bed rails.

I pulled the caps, breaking the same clips on both sides. Laid down vinyl and silicones the places that the caps pierced going back on.

I don't. I have a laser cutter and have been considering creating an acrylic cap and some acrylic spacers.

Mine didn't peel. Been on there since May.
