Thanks, I will give it a try. From the Owner's Manual:
Switching the Lane Keeping System On and Off
To activate the lane keeping system, press the button on the steering wheel.![]()
To deactivate the lane keeping system, press the button again.
Note: When switching the system on or off a message appears in the instrument cluster display to show the status.
Note: The system stores the on or off setting until manually changed.
If you try to set the cruise control it will automatically turn lane keep back on. Then you have to hit the button on the steering wheel again to turn it off. It's on the steering wheel. Took me a couple of days to find it too! I turned it off on the steering wheel about a month ago and it has not turned on again since!
Yeah, it's become muscle memory already to hit cruise and then the lane centering button to disable it.If you try to set the cruise control it will automatically turn lane keep back on. Then you have to hit the button on the steering wheel again to turn it off.
I believe Ford considers lane keep and lane centering two different things.Yeah, it's become muscle memory already to hit cruise and then the lane centering button to disable it.
What doesn't make sense is there is a toggle for lane keep assist under adaptive cruise settings and it is supposed to disable it. I've tried it and it does not.

Correct. I believe it is lane keep is when you are not using adaptive cruise. Lane centering is when you are using adaptive cruise. The button on the steering wheel is the same for both functions according to the owner's manual entries.I believe Ford considers lane keep and lane centering two different things.
