Howdy,

I do quite a bit of off-roading and looking for a bed cover that will keep dust off my gear. Any suggestions? Debating on soft or hard cover. I hear good things about fas tops soft bed covers. For reference my dad had a retrax hard cover and that thing leaked dust everywhere even with double seals.

Its usually not the cover that is the issue but rather everything else truck beds are not designed to be dust proof/water tight...I would plan on spending a good amount of time focusing on the bed.

When my ranger gets here (Build date 8/12) i plan on removing the bed rail caps and starting there; next will be some time spent on the tail gate (there's someone in aus that has a nice bolt on solution...i dont know if they ship here)

It the tail gate is not sealed you will get a lot of dust and moisture
Also the area's in the front of the bed. Top front corners and all the round holes in the front of the bed.

Thanks! Tons of bed options and hate to dump money and have issues with dust on my gear!

I'll be putting a cover on also but I want one that can go thru the car wash. Any suggestions I'm getting a little to old to wash it myself on a reg basis. Going on a Ranger Raptor some day soon I hope. LOL
