hey did your tailgate liner come with new hardware? I got mine from dealer today and it has no hardware. Existing screws in tailgate have too small of a head to clamp down on the plastic linerI used the Ford Tailgate Liner. See below:

I purchased the tailgate liner and had the same problem. When I called the parts department at the dealership I explained that the existing hardware would not work without some fender washers. The initial response was that there was no hardware included. I bought some washers and installedhey did your tailgate liner come with new hardware? I also called the parts dept and they didn’t seem to know but told me they’d look into and make it right. I’ll call them again and tell them you had the same experience. It (though a couple of the fasteners were just barely long enough).
The next day I got a call from the parts department and he tells me that after checking with a colleague that was more familiar with this part - that fasteners should have been included. They had to order another liner and give me fasteners from it. They work much better than my fender washer approach. They have a large washer with a smaller sleeve around each fastener - so it doesn’t crush the liner (makes it kinda like a shoulder bolt).
