The guys at American Trucks were really helpful and answered all my questions on the MX. I don’t plan to invest $’s on j-braces so the absence of T-rail slots is not a big deal for my use. They had the best price for the RetraxPro MX that I’ve seen online. Placed the order Sunday afternoon and the cover shipped out Monday from GA to MS. It arrived by 10a today (Tuesday) and was an easy install. Really appreciate the heads-up on the screws shearing off because of the spray-in bedliner. I pre-cleaned the threaded holes with some similar carbon steel screws I had in the coffee can. Then I assembled the cover without incident. Still need to do a little alignment when I can catch a sunny day. FYI, clearance from the bottom of the box to the floor is a bit over 10”. (My keyboard case is 8” deep so all is well there.)
First oil change this week and most software glitches disappeared with the recent update. Also had the recall done for the window software. The truck just kept getting better and better over the past six months. I would score it a solid 9. The only thing I’d like to do now is replace the rear headrests so that I can fold the rear seat down when I need it without moving both front seats forward. Hope y’all have a happy 2025!!!
