I want to remove the front and rear Ford blue oval emblems to modify them in black. Has anyone removed the emblems on the new Ranger? Does front grille have to be removed to remove the front emblem? What's involved in removing the tailgate emblem? Any pics, videos, or tutorials on removing them that you know of?

Thanks for the info. I will check out the videos. I know it will be a project and I can just spend $350 and buy them already done. But I like car projects like this. It keeps a 69 year old retired guy busy and out of trouble! lol

That’s why I did the bedside steps myself. At 69, I don’t move nearly as fast as I used to. It took me about 7 hours to do them both.

LOL, and you did a great job on those bedside steps! I never used to take naps but after a job like that I think I would be a canidate for a nap!

My next project is removing this ugly silver front valance and wrapping it or painting it in black. I would have already done this but in my heated garage I have two cars in storage that I don't want to take the chance of getting overspray on them and I don't want to move them outside now. I ordered black wrap and will try and wrap it first.

Haha we have a lot in common, the silver valance was the 1st thing I did. Black vinyl wrap, had the local wrap guy do it for $150 including materials. I didn’t have to take it off.
where in NY? I went to high school in lower Manhattan.

I guess we do have a lot in common, we come from the same era lol. I'll be 70 in August. I'm from Hagaman NY, upstate about 30 miles west of Albany. Oh man that valance looks so much better! That was a great price you got for that job. I have two rolls of vinyl wrap arriving today. Gloss black and Matte Black. Now that I see yours I'm going to do the matte black. I don't know if I'm good enough at wrapping to be able to do it on the vehicle. However, I do have a lift in my garage which will make the job much easier if I decide to. I have some experience with clear paint protection film. I did the headlights on my Corvette and the lower rocker areas and it came out pretty good. I also used wrap on mirror caps for a Subaru WRX that came out really good. So, I'm hoping I can handle this wrap job.

I plasti dipped both badges and that valance black without taking them off. Had to mask pretty much the whole car but it took me half/an hour maybe so was well worth it. Turned out great and badges are 3d so the logo is still readable.
