No forward drive to transmission

Good luck, mind was a defective transmission from new.
I would push for a new transmission not just service and reset and send you on your way.

Just received my 24 Ranger XLT Sport back from Ford (1669 miles on it), new transmission installed other one sent back to Ford for evaluation.
Hopefully this works and I can peacefully drive off into the sunset with no other problems or worries

2024 Ranger XLT Sport 4x2 10 months old.
Another transmission issue. Here we go again. Previously had a new transmission installed by Ford.
Today February 22, 2025 @ 2:53pm milage 10, 143. Episode #1 with transmission today, turned right to go up a small incline transmission made a load (audible) noise kunck three times then loss forward momentum would not go forward only engine would rev, sat there for about a minute with nothing happening shifted in park waited a few seconds then shifted into drive nothing then all of a sudden it responded and I was able to drive it home.
Sent an email to the Ford Dealer to the sales advisor ( The one who I went through the sale with) and service advisor and manager.
Now waiting to hear from them.

I just got the same issue happened to my 24 Ranger FX4 (with only 3k + miles). Bought it brand new last year (August 24). I went to pickup my kid from school (2 miles away) when i made a turn the engine stalled for a few seconds then it iddled back but with struggle few seconds later it’s back to normal. I’m calling my dealership tomorrow about this. This is my first Ford and frankly I’m not happy. So much for the “Built Ford Tough” . Ford if you’re listening.

All there going to do is a diagnosis test and if they can't duplicate the issue sadly they will sent you on your way with a unresolved issue. If you look through all my issue you will see my interaction with Ford.
It will probably happen again, check your state for lemon law google it.

Let me know what comes of yours, it may be the same issue as mind. We can compare what the dealer did.

Larry, did you file suit for lemon law? This is sad with all the years they had to fix any issues from previous years since the Got the ranger back in the US Ford still have not done enough to stand behind their slogan “Built Ford Tough”.
