I hope this is the correct thread. I have a 2022 Ford Ranger Lariat that I tow behind my RV. I have ~6000 miles towing it. In Feb while on a 550 mile not stop trip towing the Ranger it came out of Neutral tow for what ever reason(s).
Ford claims no responsibility and falls back on a service bulletin sent out in 2021. Ford claims that they have no responsibility to alert buyers of service bulletins. Had I know that there were Neutral tow issues I would have never purchase the vehicle.
The Neutral tow failure happened on 2 Feb and ruined the rear differential, transmission and transfer case. We have now been waiting 4 months for a new transfer case and had to leave the vehicle in Texas at the repair shop.
Caution to anyone looking to Tow a Ford product that there are real issues with Neutral Tow that appear to be happening In Broncos as well as F-150.
Ford will walk away from virtually any drive train issues if you have t tow package on the vehicle.
If anyone else has had this issue I would very much like to talk with you.
Thanks
John
