Hey everyone,

I’m picking up an Off Road Long Bed next week. While I love the idea of sliders they are not really what I need or want to spend. Been trying to look for long bed specific side steps / running boards but not coming up with anything. All I seem to find are sliders.
Any suggestions?

Are you looking for a drop step style?

Spend the money and protect your truck with some sliders. You get the benefit of the step you want, and the protection of the slider. Yeah, your pocket'll hurt 3 times as much.

I keep thinking this will be what I have to do but yeah the wallet part sucks. If I end up going this route I will go with Cali or Westcott most likely.

This is what I am leaning towards. How long ago did you order and what is the estimated shipping time?
Ordered 2/4/25. And it just shipped today. 😑

I’m hoping they’re awesome. I’ll drop some pics when they get in.

That would be very appreciated.
I put these on my Gen 3 and now the '24 after my wife had a stroke. She was afraid of slipping on the other running boards, and needed a little help getting into the cab, while still giving me some clearance when in the back country. These provide good footing, even in the winter snow, and are out of the way when getting out of the cab; don't pull up the pant leg or get it muddy. They block gravel, are no lower than the running gear, but can hang up on rocks if you're into that.

I've always had sliders on my trucks, but went with the OEM TRD Cast Aluminum Running Boards for my new long bed Taco. They are great as running boards and don't hang any lower than good sliders (visual priority for me).

I'm staunchly against wheeling this truck, so I didn't want the thought of rock sliders in the back of my mind to let myself push the truck harder than I should. I don't have the best self control at times. 😂

I get my jollies on my KTM anyway, which can climb more than my Taco ever could.
