It is the only Carplay radar app I have found to be at all useful on road trips, it does require a good cell signal. Driving south out of Pendleton, Oregon, I was closely monitoring a really strong line of thunderstorms to the west, part of a nasty system that was really hammering western OR and western WA .

You can zoom in and out using the truck display (but not “pinch zoom”) and scroll to different map areas with a simple finger swipe. The radar image shows the actual cloud content, NOT what precipitation is reaching the ground. I drove right under one intense cell, but the sun was shining and the rain was several miles away downwind. The display updates, but there is no video feature. The app could be really helpful at night when you can’t just use the old fashioned Eyeball Method.
FYI - I very MUCH prefer my Garmin DriveSmart 76 to any nav app for road trips. I normally leave the main display in Quiet Mode.
