My Ranger Raptor Acceleration Tested -- Dragy Results: 0-60mph 1/8th & 1/4 mile

As someone else had mentioned somewhere in here, their salesman & mine, filled up our RR's with 87. Not used a tank of fuel yet, so at the 1/2 tank mark, i topped it off with 93. I was excited and then disappointed at the numbers. The best time I got was in 4h (4a was similar), sport mode, sport steering, advance track off, baja exhaust, manual shift.

0-60 5.86s
1/8th 9.19s @77.70
1/4 14.42s @86.60

truck had 3/4 tank fuel, i weigh 618lbs. I believe running a couple tanks of 93, less fuel in the tank, and losing 400lbs then it might be a little quicker.
60' is terrible, computer limiting rpms and spooling. Taking off it falls on its face then goes. In 2wd same modes, higher rpm, better turbo spool, but launching blows the rear tires off.

These trucks have huge potential, it'll be nice when they're able to be tuned. In comparison my Braptor ran between 9.0-9.09 in the 1/8th. Hopefully ZFG Racing will have these running like the Explorer ST soon.

There's a wealth of information on the Internet regarding how the Ecoboost ECU trains itself on the fuel. My understanding (though it's been awhile since I researched it) is that it can take up to 1 tank to fully train though the consensus is that the bulk of the training occurs in the first 25 miles with a good mix of full throttle take offs and steady driving. Like you said run a tank or two of pure 93 octane in it and then give it another shot. See if that improves your times.

Might try e30 and let my 145lb nephew drive. Maybe get 5.5

Don't see that happening often, as most tests are coming in at 5.8ish. Still plenty fast!!

with 93 octane and at sea level it should be no problem as long as the condition are good. When some of them get broken in the times will improve.

I appreciate the concern about my weight, I’ve lost a few lbs and I’m 285lbs now.
I just hit 500 miles & it feels faster….maybe it’s in my head. I’m going run it again this weekend and will post results.
I added a BOV, so that’s at least another 50rwhp….like adding a k&n air filter sticker.

How did you choose this option? Im not seeing this part number available for the 3.0 engine, only the 2.3.
