Just wanted to share some thoughts on the Muslogy kit I installed on my new truck with the first round of mods. Great packaging, love that a trim removal tool is included, clear directions. Product fit and finish is on point and I like that the company supports the community as well. Now, I did not keep the factory front micro flaps(impingement plastics?) because having overlapping mud flaps looks quite odd to me. To fill that gap from removing it I used a pair of each side of flat rubber(bib) washers from the plumbing section of my shop and reused all the original factory push pins minus one that came out damaged. I really liked that Muslogy included a quality tool with the kit that deserves to be in kept around in the shop.. NICE TOUCH MUSLOGY! Would personally recommend the kit as a budget upgrade that provides style and function at a reasonable cost. Photos show installed, thoughts?
- Cheers Alex

Thanks for sharing, so did y'all keep the factory front mini flaps on install? Yes I'm just getting started making the truck my own with mods so this was a great start as I'm still getting familiar with it. Appreciate you guys commenting and Id like to run a few future mod ideas across you guys to get some opinions- Alex

Same here, So I'm thinking of painting the tail pipe tube with black high temp paint to give it a different look...

I left the mini ones on since the flap instructions said too.

I have been thinking of painting the exhaust black too. I did the same thing on my 04 ranger snd it looked way better (though it does have dual tips coming out in feont of the passenger side rear tire).

Yeah so I just used a couple flat rubber bib washers to take up the gap space of the stock mini flap and I was pretty good with that. So I'm going to order up a can of Rustoleum high temp black and get to work on that, I'll update you guys with the process and results I get...

I kept the mini flaps on. I noticed that the musology flaps had cutouts for the mini flaps so I kept them on so not to introduce a gap in the new flaps. Here are pics.

Certainly, thanks for the closer photos. Yes I had good success using the rubber flat bib washers to adjust for that gap and for me I liked that look as the doubled up just didn't work for me, but the washers made it fit very tightly and secure without the mini flaps so I was happy with that
