Are we able to program these ourselves or do you have to pay Ford some exorbitant fee?
The new keypads need to be programmed by Ford FDRS. It’s not as simple as cycling power with keys anymore.

My dealership wanted $79 to program mine but honored $29 price from Ford Accessories as I had it shipped to them. In the end they did mine for free when I had them install new wheels from Ford Accessories at the same time.

There are also two different versions. One for vehicles with remote start and one for without.

$79 isn’t too bad but yeah, it’s more cost effective to order directly from Ford if your dealership will honor the quoted installation price. I would definitely pick this up if I could do it myself.
