Negatives:
- transmission is shifting weirdly sometimes, it's like it's confused. This is my first AT vehicle so maybe that's common.
- steering: wheel turning by itself sometimes in my hands, like some force is applied to the front wheels?
- braking distance is long
- feels floaty and there isn't much feedback through the steering wheel

Positives
- good, tasteful looks
- very comfortable, great cabin ergonomics. Ford really knows how to make trucks.
- great sound insulation
- I finally dont give a fuck about potholes anymore
- very good power & torque
- great visibility, love the side mirrors
- the dog loves the back seat and the sliding rear window
- great sense of safety and solidity

Overall, I'm very happy with the truck. It is an extremely competent vehicle although it is pretty boring. Boring is good though.

Looking forward to taking it offroad.

If you don't have very many miles on your truck, give the transmission some time to "learn" and it will shift better over time.

Lane Keep assistance is what you're feeling with force being applied to the steering wheel. You can turn this feature off. The truck uses the front facing camers to actively steer to keep you in the lane.

This should have really been explained to you by the dealer when you took delivery

Only 100 miles. Never knew ATs could 'learn'.

Hi George, congrats on the truck!

As said, allow the computer some time to learn the transmission shift pattern. Just drive normally as you would.

You may have the lane-keeping system enabled. This would be a good time to familiarize yourself with the truck's features. You can disable lane-keeping.

Brakes need to be broken in. What you don't want to do is cause your rotors to glaze. Regardless, it's not going to stop like a Miata, however.

The floaty feeling would be normal, in comparison to a small sports car.

Have fun getting some off-roading in. If not already in process, I'd recommend taking some time to learn your trucks features.

Should ride a lot smoother than a Miata.

For sure. In a Miata you feel and hear everything , which gives you great feedback for controlling the car, but on a long road trip it is utterly exhausting. What I miss it the manual transmission.
