I just tried to open the FordPass app and it took me to an updated Terms page. It is ridiculously long. I read it but my eyes definitely glazed over so for anyone that could stay focused as they read it, did you see any "Gotcha's" hidden in the text?

I don't think Amazon, Google, Facebook and Mr Musk are collecting and sharing data such as driving habits, location, and camera images from your truck. You know, things that your insurance company might be interested in.

OnStar got in trouble for selling this data to insurance companies and they in turn were adjusting rates. That might be real interesting to those with Raptors. You really should read those terms in section 2.

Or not. It's up to you.

My RR came with all the sharing enabled under the connectivity menu including "Insurance-Related Data". You all might want to check yours. I turned it all off at the dealership. At some point an upgrade took place due to auto upgrades being enabled and it defaulted the sharing back to on. I've since turned off auto updates and haven't had any issues.

The only thing is: We all have been lied to for so long by so many, that even if they have a "Opt out", do you trust them to 100% tell the truth?

Having been around people for as long as I have and working in technology...people certainly lie, and systems don't work as designed. Turning it off though is much better than giving them a legal out by having it enabled.
