I mean, a hill like that in deep snow I'd probably engage both lockers (why not? that's part of what I bought the truck for) and try it in 4H first, then 4L if that didn't work. However, in any scenario I would have turned traction control completely off to begin with. I'm personally very familiar with traction control being a hindrance in deep snow conditions having lived in upstate NY.
You also probably wouldn't just bury your foot on the throttle and just dig a hole and beach yourself either. This dude had no clue and his right foot had the grace of a cinder block

Hate to ask but where is the Traction control button located? Have not had the inclination to use it. Very little snow here so far in Central IN and Slippery mode has worked like a champ. I'm sure TC is on in that mode helping keep the car in line. Had a little fun on a roundabout in sport 2H and kicked the tail a bit. Easy to reign in. Need to sit in the garage and thumb through the manual.

Is there a video or page that has Ford Performance's description of what the modes are for and how each one is designed to be used? I found one that said Ford Middle East, but no Ford North America. Owner's manual is pretty explanatory but it would be interesting to see someone who designed/programmed this stuff to explain and show exactly what the intentions are. Either way Baja mode says, "high speed offroad driving," which is not exactly what one would expect to be doing in the snow and ice, uphill, on a relatively narrow trail, with sharp, uphill switchbacks; I wouldn't think.

I gotta say I was pretty disappointed with his assessment and execution on his tests. It came across as a person who’s never driven in the snow before or who was not 100% on the proper operation of his RR. The excessive use of throttle while the truck was clearly stuck and tires where burning showed his lack of connection to the situation. Those of us that know how to drive in the snow know clearly that momentum is your best ally. Letting off throttle while the truck has momentum is an epic fail. If driven properly, our trucks would accomplish what he was trying to achieve, driven like this, not so much.

Nothing beats going to Raptor Assault to learn how to properly use these trucks to their maximum capabilities. Obviously you don't drive in deep snow, but, you will know how and when to use the different drive modes and lockers. This is me driving.

Absolutely. I am going to find a way to do this. Long way from Jersey though.

Ya, he only turned traction control off but you need to hold the button longer to turn stability control off as well. Hopefully he figured it out for his next testing trip. My Chevy Avalanche wouldn't spin the tires unless both were turned off.
