You also probably wouldn't just bury your foot on the throttle and just dig a hole and beach yourself either. This dude had no clue and his right foot had the grace of a cinder blockI mean, a hill like that in deep snow I'd probably engage both lockers (why not? that's part of what I bought the truck for) and try it in 4H first, then 4L if that didn't work. However, in any scenario I would have turned traction control completely off to begin with. I'm personally very familiar with traction control being a hindrance in deep snow conditions having lived in upstate NY.
