Hey all, just took delivery of a 2024 XLT. Overall pretty happy with it, just noticed an issue with fit and finish of the driver side doors. Anyone else have this problem? No leakage thankfully but still ticks off the OCD.

My front passenger door to fender gap is a bit excessive when compared to the other door gap lines. Not enough that I want to have it messed with but still there nonetheless.

I'm finally picking up my XLT tomorrow. I did a walk check around it but didn't immediately notice the door alignment but I will for sure look at it when I go back in the afternoon before taking it off the lot. Will let you know

Sometimes the whole body structure is out of spec to the point that what your seeing is the best compromise possible. I'd look at the wole opening shape around the door, and the gaps as a whole. Might be a larger issue.

How was this resolved? I have the same issue on my driver door, and it is starting to rub against the front fender.

Door alignment is an easy process. Takes about a half an hour from start to finish.👍🇺🇸

What does it involve? My dealer wants to send it to a body shop...
That’s where it goes.

If they do it the easy way, there are several tool s available and they simply check the chassis locking lug for alignment with the actual locking mechanism, as demonstrated with either tool 1 or 2 pictured below;

loosen the jam nuts slightly, lift the door and retighten the jam nuts.👍🇺🇸

So I received my Ranger Raptor 1+ weeks ago. While doing my first wash I noticed the back bottom corner of the front passenger door rubs against the front bottom corner of the rear right side door. There is a small paint chip on the inner front door edge. I brought it to the Ford body shop attached to the Ford dealer and they said the whole passenger front fender needs to be removed to make the appropriate adjustment. Is this not true? I'd rather not have part of the vehicle disassembled if necessary.

This is in addition to the hood needing to be adjusted at the same time do to difficulty closing.

I'm honestly not sure what they did for mine, but both sides needed to be aligned on mine and it took a couple hours, so idk if they could've done all that in just a few hours

Just picked up my truck after having the front passenger door realigned. They did in fact remove the front fender assembly to gain access to the door for adjustment. The rep from the Ford collision center said there is no other way to adjust the front doors without the access the front fender assembly provides.
