Dash wiring question

I bought and installed the Lariat dash in my XLT. In the lariat dash is a harness that connects to the ambient lighting (I assume). As others mentioned, I removed the harness, but I got to looking at it and was wondering if I could either use it elsewhere or maybe put it back in and connect it to the F150leds.com ambient lighting kit I already have.
so, I connected it to a battery and can’t get it to light.
3 wires
Black/gray stripe
Green/red
Blue / gray
I tried all the combinations, got nothing.

I don't know about ambient lighting in a vehicle.
But since there are only 3 pins, it could be similar to ARGB in computers, where 1 wire is +5V, one is GND, and the third is a digital data line to adjust the colors.

If it were 4 pins, then it would be +12V, R, G, and B.

How hard was it? Did you happen to video the dash removal/replacement? Thinking of doing the same but seems risky.

Did not video it but there is a link in a thread about replacing the XLT gauge cluster with the lariat. Very easy to follow only difference was he had a screw to remove that was not on mine. I’ll see I can find the link.
