So i know it's been mentioned that the shipping type used is determined by mileage the dealership is away from the plant. I believe that distance cut off is 300 miles and anything further away, the new truck will get shipped via rail first before making it's way to your dealership.
I was curious, if retail (special) orders are handled any different, meaning if I have ordered one and my dealership is 330 miles from the plant (yes only 30 miles over the apparent cutoff), would the new truck be shipped via convoy to get it to dealership faster since it's a retail order?
I did look at my dealership's bronco window stickers since the bronco comes from the same place, and all that I reviewed showed rail.
