My Australian built right hand drive RR has an annoying clunking sound. I only hear it at speeds below 20mph. It sounds like a bad bushing. My truck has only 2000 miles on it. And I have taken it to the dealer several times. Ford says it's normal. But I have not heard it in any other RR. Am lost. Please help.

Just an FYI - Australian spec Rangers are built in Thailand

but no, I wouldn’t say what you’re hearing is normal by any means

I’ve recently noticed a similar noise on my 24 US RR, but on the left side front (driver side in the US). It almost sounds like the sound a bad strut would make on older vehicles. It only happens at low speeds, or when pulling out of a driveway when the suspension loads/unloads when going over the curb. I need to get my RR in for a recall so I’ll have them take a look when it’s in. Also, I did a nut and bolt check when I rotated the tires last week, and couldn’t find anything loose in the suspension… but I never looked into the steering rack so maybe I’ll take a look at that next. I’ll report back if I find anything or hear anything from the dealer in a few weeks.

I’m having the same exact issue. I feel that it could be a bad strut as well. I did test the sounds difference between the different suspension modes. I found that in normal, it is quieter than in sport or off-road. Did your dealer look at yours yet?

I have the same issue with my Raptor (also built in Thailand) 2.0 Diesel in Italy.
They already replaced the Fox shock absorber under warranty, but it didn’t solve the problem.
I’ve been back three times, and the conclusion was: standard characteristic of the Raptor, no anomaly…

I would find it hard to believe it’s a standard characteristic and no anomaly. Being if it was normal, it should have always done it. Not just randomly start.

Mine, out of necessity, covered its first 500 km on the highway… so at first, I didn’t notice anything. Later, at low speeds, I started hearing the annoying noise.
Now I turn up the volume on the radio to avoid hearing it… otherwise, my ears are always tuned to it.
Today, I have almost 35,000 km.

Could be a different sound then. I can hear and feel mine. It didn’t start till around 5k miles. So about 8000km

I just had it in for a recall on Monday. Unfortunately I got the dreaded “unable to duplicate” response. I am going to see if I can get one of my buddies to help me replicate it while I lay under the truck while they push the body side to side (to compress the suspension). I can make the noise happen on demand by doing so… but unfortunately my wife isn’t heavy enough to make the body roll enough for the suspension to travel enough to make the noise happen lol. Whenever I can get someone heavier to assist me, I’ll report back on what I find… but it might be a while lol

My noise is noticeable in the range of 15–40 km/h on small bumps. On the right side, it can also be heard but much less (the impacts feel “softer”). On the left side (driver’s side), the impacts seem sharper and louder. When the Raptor is lifted on a lift (e.g., to swap tires), the noise seems to disappear for the first few kilometers but then reappears shortly after.

I have exactly the same problem as your vehicle, I have a RR 2.0 diesel in Indonesia (made in Thailand) and have been hearing sounds like bad bushings since the car is on 1,000km. I have complained several times to the dealer and at 10,000 km they replaced both front fox suspension. After doing the replacement, the sounds disappeared, but only lasted for a short time, maybe around 11,000km, the knocking sound started again from the right side of the car (driver's side) and now the situation seems to be getting worse. For your information, I am now at 17,000km, and the dealer can't confirm what happened to my car. Actually the Ford Dealer is cooperative to make it better, but they just can't find the problem.

Have the same thing in my 2024 ranger raptor you can feel it under the the floor on the passenger side of the truck at low speeds turning took it to the dealer but they say can't find any thing wrong even though the mechanic heard it so kind of at a stale mate.

If you have this kind of knock below 20 mph, I’d be looking at the sway bar endlinks.🇺🇸
