I have a 2024 Ranger XLT Sport 4wd. I like the truck a lot, but not so happy with the service department. I now have just shy of 4600 miles and my truck has spent about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks in service. It has been to the dealer twice for a "Check Brake System" light. The first time was there a week, and I was told there was a definite code relating to the brake booster, then told there was not a code, and everything checked out fine. I just picked it up today, after another week for hood latch adjustment, a fault code for the trailer module, and again the "Check Brake System". Before taking it in this time, the brake warning had showed up a least 10 times, and was on when the service writer wrote me up. Again they told me the brake system checked out fine, telling me how much brake pads are left, like this would be a problem with 4600 miles. Got on the freeway to go home, and the warning came on again. I called the service manager, and he said there was a code P050F recorded, but the system checks out ok in the self test. Obviously something is wrong. They are now picking up the truck at my house for another trip to the dealer.

My Lariat is coming in 2 weeks but I had a problem on a previous vehicle that came to mind when I read your issue. Codes and failure symptoms from multiple seemingly random systems. Check your grounds. It took a couple times on my previous vehicle but they finally found the bad ground connection. Solved the problem. Had the vehicle for 10 more years and it never came back. Good luck.

I just got it back after another week at the dealer for the same issue. This time they replaced a brake pressure sensor, and so far its been fine, but its only been maybe 125 miles. Guess I have to wait and see. This is the first time they replaced something, and they did pick up and deliver the truck to my house. Also did the power window recall. Its just amazing to me that you can take the truck to the dealer for the same issue multiple times, and they dont do anything. Makes the new car experience so much worse.

I dont think fault codes happen for no reason. I was driving around and down the mountain from 8500' when I got mine. Happened probably a dozen times. The fault warning was on when I took it in, the service writer saw it, but they said nothing wrong. Came back on driving home from the dealer. Im hoping they fixed it, as they actually replaced something. My bet is that youll get the code again.

Well, so much for that. My light has come back on. 3 different 5 to 6 days stays at the dealer. Still not resolved. I direct messaged the Ford rep here, hope that helps.

Sorry to hear about your issues/experience! I have a three week old RR and I'm randomly getting the Trailer Brake Module Fault message. Are you still getting that message or were they able to fix that part?

Following this. I just started getting Trailer Brake Module Fault warning on startup this week. First time I had my trailer attached but using the 4-pin connector (trailer does not have brakes). I have since been getting it even without the trailer attached.

In my case, I think the Trailer Fault light was being triggered by a bad light on the trailer. I only get the message on my boat trailer, not the other flat bed trailer I tow.

Mine has not reappeared in the past couple days. So, I'd say it was most likely related to getting water in/around the trailer connector.

I had a problem like this on my 19. It came on randomly, mostly at higher speeds. Turned out to be a failure in a valve failure in the massive vacuum system in the brake system. Took 4 trips to the dealer to figure out because it didn't stick all the time and they could never replicate it.
