Broken radiator cover piece?

While adjusting the hood latch this morning due to having to slam the heck out of the hood to latch since delivery, when I pulled up on the 3 piece radiator cover, a piece of plastic fell into the engine bay. Has a number: n1wb-8478-b I wasn't paying attention to where it fell from. The push retainer is also broken on one side. (2024 Ranger Raptor). Hood closes perfect now with the hood deflector. Lol

Sorry to hear it broke. Maybe the dealer will replace it.
I wanted to ask as I have read many commenting about have to adjust the hood due to hard hood slams needed and I also experienced the same at the deal. What or where are the adjustments needed? Hood bolts, latch area? Curious what exactly is getting adjusted so when mine comes in.

I took the radiator cover off and there are 2 small bolts on either side of the latch. I loosened, rased it a few mm up until I was happy with the latching. I also installed a hood deflector as well.

I think I figured out where it goes. Now I just need a replacement.

With the 8000-8499 sereis being 'Radiator-Grille' parts

So your part could be / is(?) Item # 3 in this diagram {{n1wz8478c}}
