I've had my RR for 6 months, love the truck. But the Bluetooth connection with my iPhone 15 Pro Max is inconsistent and will drop the connection to the phone.
Here's what happens: Once I get it connected, then turn off the truck, it will not consistently reconnect (to CarPlay) when I turn start the truck the next time. It may connect with the next 3 or 4 starts, but then the connection is lost and I have to manually reconnect it (but not pair) all over again. I have deleted and added the phone, plus re-paired 3 times with no improvement. The connection is only lost when the truck is turned off. It isn't lost when I'm using an app in CarPlay or Spotify, etc.
The local dealership says there were problems with the Bluetooth Sync 4 systems on Explorers & Expeditions with similar symptoms and a fix is scheduled to come out in February 2025 that will upgrade the "A-Pim" (??) software. I don't want to wait only to find out this update wouldn't apply to this situation.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
