I had run wiring from the battery back to my bed lights. I had added in some accessory plugs to add puddle lights since the black running boards are hard to see at night. I control them with a small keychain remote, one on my keychain, one in the bed and one in the cubby next to the steering wheel. For another project I had bought a led kit with a 4” light strip. I didn’t use them on that project so I decided to tie them into harness and mount them into my AliExpress bed steps.

I actually have some Diode Dynamics SSC1 flood lights with amber back lights ordered that I'm planning on mounting in the bed step for area/reverse lights; hadn't even thought about having them light the step up at night. Nice looking setup
