Bed braces with yakama lumber rack

Ok all. Just put on a yakama hd rack on my 24 lariat. I hope ford is listening. If I put a couple of hundred pounds on this and hit a speed bump is it going to damage the bed without the stupid braces.

Personally I wouldn't risk it. I find it frustrating that these trucks can't handle the weight without the braces but so be it. Ford is addressing it in future builds and hopefully they'll do the right thing for the early adopters.

It's about lateral movement. I've stood on the bed sides and have a shell without braces.
