Anybody kinda wishing they bought a Lightning instead?

The Ranger is great and the size is more manageable than a F150. But that’s it IMO.

The Lightning Flash can be had for 50k with x plan. Has over double the HP as the 2.3, runs 12s stock!, aluminum bodied, independent rear suspension, all are 4x4, 0% for 72 months (this is another 7 to 10k savings), close to triple better efficient MPGe compared to the Ranger.

No. Nice truck, but not practical for how I use a truck. I sometimes drive in areas out west where it's a couple hundred miles between gas stations, let alone charging stations.

No, not really. I am sure it is fine, but 0-60 times arent really a factor for me when purchasing a pickup. I owned an EV for about 3 months and got rid of it because it was a pain to charge out in the wild when I needed to travel further than a full battery would take me. I so often ran into situations where all of the chargers were in use and I had to wait for what seemed like hours, I got to a station and it was out of service, the charger wouldnt recognize my car and start the charge, or my payment through the app for the station wouldnt work for some reason. It was a lot of frustration and wasnt pleasant. If I lived in California or on the East Coast it may make sense, but for me it was not a great experience.

I totally get that, and makes sense. I think unless you have a garage with a charger it may not be the best idea.

I do have a garage with a charger in it. My wife uses it now for her Jeep 4xe. It was just an issue of range not being what it was advertised as when used in the real world combined with my personal decision to live an hour from the nearest major metropolitan area.

Not a chance, here in rural Missouri charge stations are few and far between. Add to that the cold winters it's just not practical. I have bought a few EV's for the grandchildren at the Walmart toy department.

Two completely different markets, in my opinion the average Ranger Raptor owner would go for a Tremor or F150 Raptor. I came from the big guy for the size, but not to drop the off-road performace. just one mans option.

I sure hope they wouldn’t be on this Forum if they were stupid enough to be doing so!

A 'large' garage with a charger.
