Kind of long, but I want to explain everything I've done, including reading the other posts here on this subject & YouTube videos.
Just put some '21 Tremor wheels & tires on my '25 Ranger, I've tried all the tutorials on this forums & internet to program the TPMS for my truck to see them, but it's not working.
Here's the method I used:
1) Turn ignition on then off 3 times (Did this)
2) Press brake and release (Did this)
3) Turn ignition on and off 3 times and dash should have message stating truck is in tire learn mode (Did this) Heard the horn honk, dash says something to about learn L/S front tire "OK". I've pushed "OK" got out, tried the learning tool - nothing. Also tried NOT pushing "OK" - nothing
4) Then take handheld learner around to TPMS on each tire starting driver front then work your way around clockwise. (Did this) - using the tool , with & without "OK" still no horn honks, even tried different wheels/tires locations around the truck.
5) As each sensor is learned horn will honk one time letting you know truck has learned that sensor (no honk,
turned truck off and heard the 2 horn honks which is supposed to mean it's programed (self programmed?) but when I restart the truck I get "Tire pressure monitor fault" message on the dash.
Does this mean all 4 TPMS's are all bad, they're only 4 years old and low mileage or is this my tool training tool not working properly (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CMTFD6G9?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1 )
Any ideas or do I just need to go to a tire shop and have them replace all 4 TPMS sensors and program them?
Thanks in advance!
