I've saw a couple of post referencing this with the 2025 2.3 engine. Everything I have saw so far shows the same numbers as the 2.3 in the 2024. If too much if an increase maybe affect 2.7 sales? I like, prefer the 2.7 but need to keep price down. I think the 2.3 is adequate. I won't be doing any heavy towing.

There could be some truth in that they don't want to increase levels too much to impede on the 2.7 but I think they just detune the 2.3 in the Ranger so it's more reliable as it is a truck after all. They increase the tune in the Explorer a little and then even more in the Mustang since it's the sportiest of the 2.3 adopters. I would expect the 2025 model to keep the same numbers.

and the 2.3 will be plenty for the ranger size.

i have the 2024 2.3 and its definitely enough for in town and on the highway. 4 cylinders are not the same as they were back in the 90s where if you had a 4 cylinder then it was only for gas mileage. this 2.3 is fun to drive and still gets good mileage
