This may be a question that is not important, but I will ask it.

I know transmission fluid flush valves are not installed the standard Rangers. Does anyone know if the 2024 Ranger Rapture will have the ability to flush the transmission. Playing in dusty environments and just racking up miles should be considered to keep transmission healthy.

I see you are a Plumber I get the flush joke. All i know is the pan is usually made of plastic with no drain hole. Get an after market pan with drain plug. I saw on a show a mechanic just drilling a hole in the plastic pan for easy draining and removal of pan. The practice of flushing a Tranny is a questionable practice. Of all things make sure the flushing machine is free off water and contaminates. . Some shops leave there machines outside. Read your owners manual it may tell you if it is advised or not.

The flushing procedure may cause some fluid to move in the opposite direction of normal flow due to eddy currents, which may increase the risk of dislodging debris and causing it to settle somewhere it shouldn’t.

Ford does recommend Tranny flushes on some vehicles. If done have it completed at a Ford dealership while under Warranty.

I would look into if the dirt can actually get into the Tranny. Its more the sludge and loose breakin material that is an issue. Dirt could possibly get in through the drive shaft yoke, but it would have to get past the seal. If you do decide to drain and changed the fluid. Measure what comes out and put the same volume back. Some modern tranny's are critical of there volume. If the truck is not perfectly level you may get an incorrect reading.
