Trying to add some of the upgrades that I couldn't add at the time of ordering the vehicle.
Next Gen Ranger WIldtrak 2023 UK

Q1
Trying to get the front camera added onto the grill.
Have bought a genuine Ford Front camera and grill mount, all mounted fine, connected camera to the connector under the front grill cover, turned on Front camera in Forscan, now getting the front camera option on the front HUD but when selected a blue screen. Can anyone tell me if the main engine loom camera connection is not connected somewhere else before getting to the HUD or is it just not possible to have just the front camera working.

Would like to add a USB outlet by the rear view mirror, can anyone tell me if there is a connector that will allow me to retrofit it, or the wiring diagram to be able to tap it.

I am trying to achieve the same options. Will be receiving grill jumper wiring and front camera in a couple days and will see if I get the same problem.
I suspect that jumper wire to pass the firewall and wiring to the IPMA might might not been installed. I didn’t check it yet but options to check it are by removing lh side kick panel or by removing the ipc cluster to check IPMA connectors directly.

I’ve downloaded the pages related with IPMA location from workshop manual when i had access for a couple hours. Will share it later today.

You may also check following link, it is for F150 but still very helpful because wiring is very similar even though the location of IPMA is different.

Today I had the chance to try the camera as well but unfortunately no success and only blue screen. I suspect wiring to IPMA from front camera is not installed.

Yeah I haven't had chance to take the investigation any further yet, let me know if you find a way.


On another note I fitted the Aux Relay box by the battery and the overhead Aux switch panel in the head liner, but I cant find how to turn them on. There is an Aux relay in the original factory fuse box but I cant see how to energize that relay, if I short the terminals on that relay all the Aux switches work fine, so it just must need something telling that relay to energize. Hoping its as simple as a Forscan command but nothing jumping out.
