Added the cutoff switch that came with the Badlands winch. Couple of zip ties for now, until I see what kind and where I'll install catch can for oil separator.

Since I already passed the 5,000 mile mark, I decided it was actually past time to pull the trigger on a catch can/oil separator. I have always purchased from J&L but they don't have one out for the Wannabe Baja Racer yet so I bought a UPR single side system from Juggernaut Performance Inc.
Like so many I've purchased for other vehicles previously, install was super easy, directions were good on not getting the hoses mixed up and the extra bracket/hinge at the mounting point was nearly perfect to clear my winch cut off switch.

So after trying to film some off roading yesterday with my phone strapped to a GoPro mount, and being thoroughly disgusted with the results (sound and video were not great), I installed this today after modifying a Walmart phone holder purchase and screwing it to this I ordered from Amazon

Initially mounted it a bit lower and then realized that if I mounted it up higher I could, maybe, just maybe, finally get a decent video of some fun-havin. Did a test video and it came out pretty good so look out for some semi-boring, but good quality trail videos in the next few weeks.

Nothing local so drove an hour and a half to hit a new trail today. Strapped in the winch just in case as I was going by myself.

Didn't realize til I got back that I brought some of the trail home with me:

My son installed these for me this weekend during his visit. I'm curious to ask the engineers at Raptor Assault why this hole was in the side step in the first place. Not that there aren't a thousand other things I'd rather hear about but it did seem odd.

Pulled the truck across the parking lot of our recently closed up movie theater in order to get the winch line tightened up on the spool.
