Picked up 2024 Ranger Lariat Fx4, Chrome package, 2.7L, Cactus Grey. Yippie Skippy! Removed the Fx4 stickers on the back already. The 1970's called me, hanging out with my buddies and all the chrome on cars, I just like the look. I have an appointment in a week to get PPF on the front end and the two windows tint to match. Ordering an ARE Revo topper this week. 90% of the time this is a pavement princess hauling samples for work, but the other is light 4x4, fish, camp and frolic. Haul my guitars, amps and gear from time to time. Goodbye to the 2002 GMC which was the small kids bus in the past...been a great vehicle....300 + miles...still runs pretty good. Out in front of the Coors brewery this morning; table mountain in the background.

Cool, please post your driving impressions. Don’t forget that you need to get the J-Braces installed to carry the weight of that ARE, or will the topper dealer install those parts? Be sure to order the front slider window!

NICE! I have been against chrome for a while, but now that I am seeing more new trucks on the road with chrome, I starting to get a 'feel' for it.

Have not pushed it ... 100 + miles yesterday and today. For those interested OTD, $53K with sales tax; decent deal. Has the advanced trailer package on it as well.
I have ordered the J Brace's from Levittown yestereday...see when they get here and what response I get during the business week. The Ford website only gave me an "out of stock", please put in your email in to notify you.
I'll cross the install bridge soon...did like your body shop idea.
ARE dealer has the shims needed I'm told.
Seems to float down the road. Much tighter than the old Yukon.
2.7L is zippy, but again, I have not pushed it.
The dogs on the other hand are giving it a "paws" up...have some nose art on the interior windows🐶

North America is the only market that offers chrome packages on any vehicle in 2024.

Be interesting to see what the sales numbers are for this package. I suspect if there is any package dropped in the future, it is going to be the chrome package.

I wasn't after the Chrome package when I picked up my XLT High last weekend, but I do appreciate the extra "pop", especially on the grill. I'll end up getting rid of most of the package eventually when I upgraded bumpers, but looks sharp for now

With toppers, the window that faces the cab, can be fixed, tilt in or tilt in with a slider window.
tilt in gives access to the space between the cab and topper to help with cleaning.
Having the slider helps a bit with air flow, but one could pass small items through to the cab.

What sucks about sales numbers, is so many dealers order what they think everyone wants (or they think sells better), which then causes that style to sell better, and thus then the sales numbers with that package combo are better, so then more dealers order the same way and further skew the customer preference data.....not because of customer demand, but because it's what sits on the lot that sells. If every order was a custom order only then we'd know, but since a low percentage of trucks are custom orders, we'll never know and they probably will drop the chrome as a result... That's all my opinion though...

I do wish I had the chrome package as I think it looks great with velocity blue. But since I got mine from a dealer, it did not have that since the dealer probably did not want to take the risk and ordered without it. Similarly the ever useful keypad on the door that I had to get added after the fact since dealer did not.

I hear you. Comes down to the adage that if they do not build and stock it, how can I then buy it?

Problems is dealers are not looking to satisfy everybody, just that middle 70% percent of buyers. Dealerships know what moves quick and they cater to it.

Chrome trim has been on the way out for quite some time and as the Boomers and early Gen X'rs age out, it will be less and less.

I opted for the chrome package. So tired of the monochrome and all black murdered out look.
