So I bought some ceramic exhaust paint. I forgot the brand already but I got it through Amazon. I got a single can. I had enough for both sides and even went further back pretty much till the axle to cover the ugly metal color they came with factory.
They say it won’t flake or fade. Guess time will tell.. but here are the before and after pics. What you guys think?

I want to replace my tips with some slightly larger black tips, but the stock tips are welded on so that makes it difficult. That mod is on the back burner for a while. :(

Looks great!
I like that a lot better then the shinny tip exhaust.
How were you able to mask it off?
What looks really tricky to me is painting the top side of the pipes, how were you able to get up in there to paint the top side?

The driver side pipe is super easy to remove, so I pulled the whole pipe down and out.
The passenger side I removed the 10mm bolt at the hanger and I wedged a screwdriver to hold the pipe far enough down to paint the top.
Honestly to paint both sides took less then an hour and that’s allowing the paint to dry between coats

TIL stainless steel is an "ugly metal color".

I've always associated painted exhaust tips with cheap shit carbon steel exhaust that was painted for some corrosion resistance.

Few more pics after driving it 60 miles today. All on road so no fear of damage. But just wanted to show how it looks underneath.
If it holds up great, if not, I will get the pipes powder coated or get some actual tips welded on

Thx for the paint can pic. I’m gonna get the packing blanket back out, crawl under and give this a try very soon. Should be easier for me since my Lariat only has one pipe 👍

Already bought my paint, but was struggling with how to best mask it off. Good to know it’s possible and that it looks great. Thanks for sharing.
